Festival of Archaeology

It’s the Leicestershire & Rutland Festival of Archaeology in July and we are celebrating at Harborough Museum with two events!

On Tuesday 16th July between 11am and 3pm, come and meet our Archaeology Manager, Helen Sharp, who can show you real-life archaeology and talk about the technology behind it all.

Then on Wednesday 24th July between 10am and 3pm, you can meet an Iron Age Briton, and have a go at metal detecting and coin striking!

Both events are free, drop-ins so come and visit us. Don’t forget to have a look at the spectacular Hallaton Treasure while you are here.
