Summer Fun

There’s plenty of fun things happening in Market Harborough this summer.

At Harborough Museum you can visit the “You’re Hired” exhibition and have a go at a trade, dress up as a Victorian chimney sweep and learn about the history of apprenticeships in Harborough.

You're Hired gallery

There are also new free activities on the Museum Activity Cart, including ‘make your own coin’ to celebrate the Festival of Archaeology. If you can’t visit, you can make your own coin at home. If you want to get close-up with coins, then come to our two coin handling events in July!

While you’re in The Symington Building and Market Harborough Library, don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge, and enjoy some brilliant Mischief Makers! Come along to Blocks and Rocks on Thursday 2nd August to play with Lego, Duplo and see some real fossils and rocks.

Painted rocks

Just like last year the seaside is coming to Harborough! Visit Welland Park over the last weekend of July and find out more on the Explore Harborough website. While you are exploring the town and enjoying the beautiful sunshine, why not learn about the town’s heritage, with the Heritage Trail.
