Join us online this year for the Festival of Archaeology! We may not be able to invite you to Harborough Museum but we can offer you plenty of activities to try out at home. It is the 20th anniversary of the Hallaton Treasure being found, so we will be focusing on the magnificent hoards and celebrating their significance.
For activities, including an online Treasure Hunt and downloadable crafts for making your own Roman helmet, visit our Trails and Activities page.
#AskAnArchaeologist – 15th July on Twitter
#AskAnArchaeologist Day will be taking place on Twitter on 15th July. It is an official part of the Festival of Archaeology and is a chance for people from all over the world to ask archaeologists questions, and an opportunity for archaeologists to share their knowledge.
Helen Sharp, Curator for Archaeology, will be online during the day to answer your questions about the Hallaton Treasure and archaeology in Harborough. To ask Helen a question on the day, please tweet @leicsmuseums and use the #AskAnArchaeologist hashtag. We will do our best to answer all the questions during the day.
