News & the First World War

Local historian, John Dilley, has teamed up with the Harborough Mail to investigate old newspapers, in order to tell the stories of the First World War. John recently wrote about how people survived through a tough Christmas and has written about the death of Private Waddsworth who was a cutter at R&WH Symington & Co Ltd.

To read John’s blog, Newspapers and the Great War, please visit his website. You can read about this on the Harborough Mail website too.
