Highlights of Harborough

Highlights of Harborough

Developed in 2010 this project was funded by Renaissance and The Market Harborough and Bowdens Charity to make images and oral history recordings more accessible.

Volunteers were recruited to compile oral history clips which related to museum displays before the transformation of The Symington Building and Harborough Museum. The oral history recordings were digitised by the East Midlands Oral History Archive who also hold copies.

Selected images or ‘highlights’ were put onto Flickr and a digital map of the Harborough area was created.  The digital map is now available via Historypin and will be updated with new information on a regular basis.
