The Symington Building

The Symington Building is an iconic Victorian corset factory in the shadow of St Dionysius Church, in the heart of Market Harborough.

Originally the home of R & W H Symington & Company Ltd, the building has recently been transformed into a hub for Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council services.

The ground floor offers a café and ice cream parlour and the concierge in the building’s atrium opens out into Harborough District Council’s Service Centre.

Symington 1 on the first floor is home to the Harborough Museum, Market Harborough Library, Leicestershire Adult Learning Service and Leicestershire Registration Service.

The Harborough District Council Chamber and Civic Suite and the Job Centre Plus offices can be found on the second floor.
