


Harborough Museum remains open during renovation work
The Symington Building will remain open to the public as normal while a programme of renovation works is carried out, starting on Monday 9 June.
The renovation work includes improvements to the Grade II listed building’s external masonry, roof and the windows to the front of the building and the tower. It is expected to last up to 39 weeks until March 2026.

Wonders of Nature: Necklace-Making Workshop

Summary
Be inspired by our Jewellery Treasures and create your own necklace. See necklaces made from natural materials from the museum collections, and then make your own using stones, beads and air-dry clay.
You can also get hands-on with an archaeologist’s bag and read ‘The Jeweller’s Apprentice’ by Axel Scheffler.
